Access Road

Helen T. Young of Oxford, passed away January 31, 2012, at the age of 68. Mrs. Young was a nurse at Rockdale Medical Center for nearly 40 years. She enjoyed gardening and being outdoors, walking the dog, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond George and Edna Naomi (Pelfrey) Tippens; and her brother, Raymond Tippens.

Survivors include her husband, Robert H. Young of Oxford; daughter, Venita Young of Murfreesboro, TN; sisters and brother-in-law, Martha Petrie of Marietta, Margie and Jim Kelly of Salado, TX; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Annette Tippens of Carrollton, Roy and Sue Tippens of Winston, GA, Daniel and Teresa Tippens of Douglasville; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Young will be held Saturday, February 4, 2012, 3:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Dr. Scott Caudill officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, one hour prior to her service, from 2:00-3:00 PM.
