Hazel Simons of Oxford, passed away July 22, 2012, at the age of 92. She retired after 35 years of service at Oxford Manufacturing Company. Mrs. Simons enjoyed sewing, gardening, traveling, and cooking. She was a member of Gum Creek Presbyterian Church, where she was involved in many church activities, including the Gum Creek Golden Group. Mrs. Simons is preceded in death by her husband, George Day Simons, and parents Golden and Alice (Cochran) Coker.

Mrs. Simons is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Bobby Reagan; grandchildren, Steve and Wanda Reagan, Mark and Lynda Reagan, all of Oxford; great grandchildren, Jacob Reagan, Stephanie Reagan, Courtney Reagan and Hannah Reagan; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Simons will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road in Covington, with Rev. Joe Gatlin officiating, and interment following in Social Circle City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday, July 23, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.
