Gloria Gene Day

Gloria Gene Day, of Oxford, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023, at the age of 75. Mrs. Day was a devout Christian and attended Loganville Church of Christ. She loved traveling to the beach, mountains, and going on cruises. Additionally, Mrs. Day enjoyed going on excursions to Hawaii with her husband. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Day; son, Roger Dale Day; granddaughter, Brianna Day, sisters, Louise, Teresa; and brother, Elton.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Tracy Day, Chris E. and Connie Day, Donovan and Paige Day; grandchildren, Christopher and Lauren Day, Sydney and Trent New, Carter Day, Paisley Day, Noah Day; great-grandchildren, Olivia Kate New, Violet Ruth New, Liam Baine Day; brothers, Edward Fails, Dean Fails; and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Day will be held Monday, June 26, 2023, 4:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Darryl Allen officiating Interment will follow on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, 1:00 P.M. CST, in Casey Church of Christ Cemetery, 209 County Road 465, in Tyler, Alabama. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home two hours prior to her service, from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M.
