Raymond Clark Hinkle, of Social Circle, passed away Monday, August 30, 2021, at the age of 87. Ray honorably served his country in the United States Army and attended First United Methodist Church of Covington. He was born and raised in Lafayette, AL. He was the owner of R&R Communications and supported and financed many real estate developments and ventures. Ray enjoyed deep-sea fishing, bird hunting, golfing, bowling, and traveling to Panama City Beach, Florida. In addition, he loved going to Lake Oconee where he would work on his cattle farm, water ski, and fish. Ray was preceded in death by his son, Andrew Ray Hinkle; parents, Walter Clark & Lena Rivers Hinkle; sister, Anne Pinnell; brother, Riley Hinkle.
Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years Brenda Hinkle of Social Circle; daughters, Carla Swindall (Alan) of Dadeville, AL, Cynthia Krytus (Richard) of McDonough; sons Clark Hinkle (Holly) of Panama City Beach, FL, Derek Hinkle of Atlanta; grandchildren, Eric Ennis, Brandon Hinkle, Dixie Blick, Jennifer Hinkle, Mitchell Hinkle, Catherine Krytus, Victoria Krytus, Charlie Hinkle; great-grandchildren, Savannah Ivie, Cooper Ennis, Ray Blick, Stella Blick. Sisters Patsy Thornton & Linda Williams; brother Harry Hinkle.
A memorial service will be held for Raymond Clark Hinkle on October 17th at Covington First United Methodist Church located at 111 Conyers Street, Covington, GA. The visitation will be at 2 o’clock and the memorial will start at 3pm. CDC guidelines recommend social distancing (6 feet apart) and wearing of masks while in public.
