Albert L. (Bill) Davis

Albert L. (Bill) Davis, 83, died at his home in Social Circle, GA, October 5, 2020. Bill was born in Florence, SC, February 9, 1937, to Ruth and Henry Vance Davis.  He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Judy; his children, Rachael Elledge and her partner, Keith M. Cochran, Albert Lide, Jr., (Bert) and his wife, Laurie; and grandchildren, Hannah Elledge, Collin Elledge, Maggie Davis, Rebecca Elledge, Ben Davis, Jackson Davis.

Bill earned a degree in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina where he was a member of Pi Kappa Phi. He remained an avid Gamecock fan for the rest of his life. In 1987, Bill left after 20 years with Milliken and Company to start his own business, American Professional Services Inc., which is now owned and operated by his son, Bert.

His later years were brightened by happy days with the family at the beach in his own Place in the Sun.
