Alice G. Peteet of Covington, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2020, at the age of 94. Ms. Peteet was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse by various Atlanta Hospitals for over 40 years. She was an exceptionally happy person who always encouraged others and was a friend to all whom she met. Ms. Peteet adored the time she spent with her family – especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Catherine Gresham Gorman.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Frank Smith, Lynn Allen and Scott Palmour, Faith Wiggins; son, Reginald Rose; grandchildren, Bryan Christopher Allen, Wesley Blaine Smith, Jonathon Matthew Smith, Robert Scott Palmour; great-grandchildren, Bryce Allen, Brayden Allen, Alexander Smith, Juliana Smith, Malina Palmour, Mason Palmour; brother and sister-in-law, John and Sherri Gorman; as well as several nephews and their spouses.
A Graveside Service for Ms. Peteet will be held Tuesday, August 25, 2020, 10:00 A.M., at Lawnwood Memorial Park, 1111 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Darrell Allen officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, one hour prior to her service, from 9:00 – 10:00 A.M.
CDC guidelines recommend social distancing (6 feet apart) and wearing of masks while in public. We ask that you observe these recommendations while in our funeral home attending visitations and/or services. In addition, gatherings are limited to 50 persons or less in our facility at one time. Please honor these restrictions for the safety of the family, yourself, and our staff.
