Allie Mae Edge

Access RoadAllie Mae Edge of Covington, passed away July 27, 2011, at the age of 95. Mrs. Edge enjoyed cooking, working in the yard, having fun, and loved to laugh. She was a loving and caring person, and she loved the Lord. Mrs. Edge was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Clark Edge; son, Jimmy Clark Edge; parents, Florence Franklin and Sarah Ann (Colbert) Shaw; sister, Lilly Mask; and her brother, Frank Shaw.Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Elese and Eddie Sweat; son, Harry Edge, all of Covington; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; half-sister, Mary Ann Shaw of Covington; half-brother, Robert Shaw of Winder; several nieces and nephews.Funeral Services for Mrs. Edge will be held Friday, July 29, 2011, 11:00 AM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, with Rev. Todd Sweat officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, July 28, from 6-8 PM.
