Ann Brewer, of Covington, passed away January 2, 2015, at the age of 85. She was born August 20, 1929, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She spent her entire life serving others, and was especially known for her work on behalf of those suffering from cystic fibrosis. Additionally, she was involved with her local community through the Newton Medical Center hospital auxiliary, The Church of the Good Shepherd, the Newton County Historical Society, the Garden Club and other groups. Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Oby T. Brewer.
A Memorial Service for Mrs. Brewer will be held Friday, January 9, 2015, 11:00 AM, at The Church of the Good Shepherd, with The Rev. M. Edwin Beckham and Rev. Ruth Healy officiating. Following the Memorial Service, Mrs. Brewer will be interred in Covington City Cemetery beside her husband, Oby. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Church of the Good Shepherd, 4140 Clark Street, Covington, GA 30014.
