Aristides Liopiros of Covington, passed away August 24, 2017, at 83 years of age. Born in Andros, Greece, Mr. Liopiros served as a paramedic for the Greek Army. In more recent years, he worked at the family-owned business, Olympic Tire Shop, where he was in charge of making coffee and greeting customers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonios and Vasilife (Pandazis) Liopiros.
Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Anna Liopiros; sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Lisette Liopiros, Leo and Harriett Liopiros; granddaughter, Olivia Liopiros; and his nephew, Antonios Liopiros, and wife, Irene.
A Funeral Mass for Mr. Liopiros will be held Monday, August 28, 2017, 11 AM, at St. Philothea Greek Orthodox Church, 3761 Mars Hill Road, in Watkinsville, with Fr. Anthony Salzman officiating. Interment will follow in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends may visit with his family at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Covington, Sunday, August 27, from 2:00 - 5:00 PM.
