Barbara Greathouse

Barbara (Nanny) Greathouse, of Oxford, passed away on August 17, 2012, at the age of 67.  Mrs. Greathouse was a member of Lighthouse World Outreach Center.  She loved making banners for churches and she enjoyed working in her flower garden. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend to many. Mrs. Greathouse was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Lela (Hodges) Arrington; and her sister, Debra Davis.   Survivors include her husband, John M. Greathouse of Oxford; son and daughter-in-law, David and Cindy Butler of Monroe; daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Craig Rowland of Oxford; grandchildren, Tracy Sowers, Jennifer Whitehead, Hollie Springer, Ashley Causey, Justin Rowland and Kaity Butler; great-grandchildren, Javon Horne, James Stephens, Jaxon Horne, Trey Whitehead, Lexie Whitehead and Bryson Springer; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gail Welborn of LaGrange, Gwen and Max Honeycutt of LaGrange, Lynn and Fred Davis of Roanoke, AL, and Tammy Short of LaGrange; brothers and sisters-in-law, William Arrington of LaGrange, Raymond and Randy Arrington of Jackson Gap, AL, Steve and Barbara Arrington of Standing Rock, AL, Scotty and Robin Arrington of LaGrange, and Tim Arrington of LaGrange; several nieces, nephews and cousins.   Funeral Services for Mrs. Greathouse will be held Wednesday, August 22, 2012, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Raymond Hardy officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, August 21, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
