Barbara B. Payne

Barbara B. Payne of Conyers, passed away July 1, 2017, at 82 years of age. Born to Roy and Katie (Barber) Burdette, she always put her family and children first in her life. Mrs. Payne will be remembered for the love and care she provided for the children in her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; as well as her brothers Owen Burdette and Richard Burdette.

Survivors include her loving husband of 64 years, Bobby Payne of Conyers; daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa Payne of Conyers, Kay and Charles Faircloth of Covington; sons, Mark Payne of Dacula, Jonathan Payne, Mathew Payne, both of Conyers; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Payne will be held Thursday, July 6, 2017, 2:00 PM, at the chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor David Payne officiating. Interment will follow in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family, at the funeral home, Wednesday, July 5, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 105 Westpark Drive, Suite C, Athens, GA 30606.
