Barry Lee Watts, of Social Circle, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2022, at the age of 59. Mr. Watts was a member of Truth Chapel in Loganville and enjoyed being a part of his church. Mr. Watts was employed with Acuity Brands since 1981 and was highly regarded by his work family. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, camping, cooking, and barbequing. In his younger years he would worship at church by singing and playing his trumpet. His love for music continued throughout his entire life. One of his greatest joys was being with his grandchildren, and he was anxiously awaiting the arrival of his twin grand babies. Mr. Watts treasured spending time with his family and is cherished by his wife and loved ones dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby and Shelby Watts; maternal grandparents, Gene and Georgia Cannon; paternal grandparents, Leslie and CB Watts; and parents-in-law, Bobby Lee, Sr. and Faye Smith.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Rosene Watts; daughters, Lisa Meltz (Nick), Candace Beck (Chad); grandchildren, Maddox Meltz, Adelaide Beck; stepmother, Becky Watts; brother, Bruce Watts (Mandy); nieces and nephews, Brecken Watts, Braxton Watts; and many other loving family members.
A Funeral Service for Mr. Watts will be held Monday, November 14, 2022, 11:00 A.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Cortt Chavis officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home on Sunday, November 13, from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M.
