Beatrice Leachman Moore

Beatrice Leachman Moore of Covington, passed away July 25, 2013, at Riverside Healthcare Center. She was 86 years of age at the time of her death. Mrs. Moore loved working in her yard, growing flowers and vegetables. She enjoyed reading her Bible, crocheting, and playing the guitar. She attended several Baptist churches in Newton County during her lifetime. Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband, John Moore, daughter, Faye Day; parents, Banks and Omie (Davis) Gary; sisters, Lucy Roberts, Kassie Roberts; brother, Henry Van Gary.

Mrs. Moore is survived by daughter, Kathy Marr of Oxford; sons and daughters-in-law, J.B. and Sherry Leachman of Covington, Johnny and Gereline Leachman of Oxford; 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Louise James of Snellville; as well several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Moore will be held at 3:00 P.M., Sunday, July 28, 2013, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd Street, in Covington, with Pastor Robert Nash officiating. Interment will follow in Bethabara Baptist Cemetery, 461 Highway 78, Statham, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, July 27, from 6:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M.
