Belinda Carole Wilbanks

Belinda Carole "Linda" Wilbanks, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully in Hampton, GA, on February 22, 2024, at the age of 85. Born on September 10, 1938, in Porterdale, GA, Linda was the cherished daughter of the late Harold and Nancy (Addie) Pair. Linda was the heart and joy of her family. She is preceded by her loving husband, Herman Donald Wilbanks Sr., and her granddaughter Amanda Mason. She is survived by their loving children, Susan Wilbanks, Donnie and his wife (Sue) Wilbanks, Scott Wilbanks, and Steven Wilbanks. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Michael and (Cathrin) Wilbanks, Justin Wilbanks, Sabrina Wilbanks, Greg and (Ashley) Phillips, Brandon and (Jessie) Phillips, Mitch and (Shannon) Wilbanks, Kristen Wilbanks, James Mason, Cassidy and (Nathan) Klinger, Kinsee Wilbanks, and her adored great-grandchildren, who number 26. A long-time and active member of the Porterdale Baptist Church, Linda's faith was a cornerstone of her life and permeated the love she shared with her church family. Her zest for life was evident in her many interests that ranged from watching TV to engrossing herself in crossword puzzles and reading. Linda treasured her family visits, which were the highlight of her days. Linda's love for travel took her to many places; however, the beach held a particular place in her heart. She relished every opportunity to feel the sand beneath her feet and breathe in the ocean air. Every journey, whether it was a grand adventure or a simple outing, was made special by the presence of her loved ones. Linda will be remembered as the epitome of kindness, love, and generosity. She had an immeasurable impact on her family and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her bright smile and warm embrace will be profoundly missed, and her memory will live on as a guiding light for all who loved her.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Wilbanks will be held Monday, February 26, 2024, 11:00 A.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Covington, GA 30014, with Pastor David Wheeler officiating. Interment will follow in Lawnwood Memorial Park 1111 Access Road Covington Ga,30014. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, February 25, 2024 from 6:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M.
