Bessie Autry

Access RoadBessie Autry of Oxford, passed away June 26, 2011, at the age of 86. Mrs. Autry enjoyed Nascar, and especially enjoyed going to the Daytona 500. She loved flowers, doing puzzles, fishing, and traveling. Mrs. Autry was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Autry; parents, Charlie and Effie Mae (Singley) May; sisters, Mary Carroll, Rose Lee Garrett, Lucile Smith; brother, Charlie May.Survivors include her grandson, Christopher Wright of Oxford; step-children, Robbie Autry, Jane Allen, Paul Autry, Terrie Dickerson, Debra Roberson, all of Covington; grandchildren, Jennifer Ellis of Covington, Wesley Dickerson, Tim Dickerson, both of Monticello, Kristeena Roberson, Casey Roberson, both of Porterdale; great-grandchildren, Bradon Ellis, Tristen Ellis, Quinn Dickerson; nieces, Annette Kimbrell, Linda Smith, both of Covington, Connie Elder of Oxford; several other nieces and nephews.Funeral Services for Mrs. Autry will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2011, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, with Rev. Todd Heil officiating, and interment following in Green Meadow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Tuesday, June 28, from 6-8 PM.
