Betty Lou (Brewer) Carter, age 77, of Covington, passed away January 19, 2016. Mrs. Carter enjoyed cooking and traveling to the mountains. She loved the Lord and treasured the time she spent worshipping with her church family at Pentecostals of McDonough. Mrs. Carter cherished the time she spent with her family, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Carter; son, Luther Stephenson; parents, William and Cordia Brewer; and her siblings, Mary, Billy, Sib and Janie.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Jane Licona, Robin and Vicente Martinez, Kelly and David Carter, Mary Ann and Andres Hernandez; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Carter will be held Saturday, January 23, 2016, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Patrick Harvey officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, January 21, and Friday, January 22, from 5:00 - 8:00 PM.
