Betty Wilbanks Hughes

Betty Wilbanks Hughes of Covington, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2018, at the age of 73. Mrs. Wilbanks was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who had a heart of gold. She was a people person and always had a smile on her face. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing. Mrs. Hughes loved her animals - especially her dog, Bandit. She was preceded in death by her late husband, William "Bud" Wilbanks; granddaughter, Kayla Wilbanks.

Survivors include her husband, George Hughes; daughter and son-in-law, Maryjane and Otis McCray; sons and daughter-in-law, William Wilbanks, Robbie and Melissa Wilbanks; grandchildren, Ryan Wilbanks, Makenzie Wilbanks; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Wilbanks will be held Friday, December 28, 2018, 1:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Kenneth Morrell officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home, Friday, two hours prior to her service from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
