Betty Omiezelle Martin

Betty Omiezelle Martin, of Covington, passed away, August 19, 2017, at 83 years of age. A resident of Jacksonville, Florida for most of her life, Ms. Martin moved to Newton County in 2015. She explored her creative side when making crafts and decorating her home. Working in the yard was also a favorite pastime for Mrs. Martin. She will be remembered for her kind and loving personality. Ms. Martin was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Monroe and Ruth (Curry) Elliott; sisters, Evelyn Springer, Louise Johnson; and brother, Russell Elliott.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Wayne Allen, Debra and Tommy Price, Julie L. Martin and Phillip Dobbs; William M. Martin, Jr.; grandchildren, Talmadge Allen, Jr., Dustin Allen, Mason Williamson, Joshua Dotson; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Morgan, Delaney, Austin, Autumn, Brantley; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
