Betty Morton Norton

Betty Morton Norton of Covington, passed away February 16, 2011, at the age of 79. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning, shopping, traveling, reading, and word puzzles. Mrs. Norton was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to many. Mrs. Norton was preceded in death by her parents, Grover C. and Fannie Louise (Yarbrough) Morton, Sr.; and her siblings, Allene Brown, Tony Morton, Sadie Hopkins, and her husband, George. Survivors include her husband, Albert Norton, Jr. of Covington; son and daughter-in-law, Sidney and Jody Norton; granddaughters, Ashley Norton, Lauren Norton, all of Snellville; brother-in-law, Raymond (Totsie) Brown of Covington; sister-in-law, Joyce Morton of Covington; several nieces, nephews and cousins. A Graveside Service for Mrs. Norton will be held Saturday, February 19, 2011, 4:30 PM, at Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Rd., Friday, February 18, from 6-8 PM.
