Betty Patterson

Betty Patterson of Porterdale, passed away September 11, 2014, at the age of 76. She enjoyed finding yard sales and flea markets, going to the casinos and traveling to the beach. Mrs. Patterson had an outgoing, caring personality, and she was always wanting to help anyone in need. She loved her family dearly and cherished her time with them. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Patterson; and her parents, Woodrow and Louise (Mitchell) Moon.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Jim Decosse of Covington, Karen Patterson, Pamela J. and Michael Harper, all of Porterdale, Tawney and Jamie Perry of Covington, Patricia L. Lane of Porterdale; 28 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Leamon Moon; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Patterson will be held Sunday, September 14, 2014, 3:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd Street, in Covington, with interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, September 13, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Flowers are accepted, or donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital - Memorial Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
