Betty Pfeiffer, of Newborn, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2022, at the age of 66. Mrs. Pfeiffer owned and operated the Pony Express Diner with her husband, Freddie. She was of servant heart and compassionately cared for over 200 children as a foster parent for 22 years. Mrs. Pfeiffer enjoyed spending time going to yard sales. In addition, she loved tending to her flower garden and admiring the roses. Mrs. Pfeiffer was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Pfeiffer; parents, Emma Jean and Thomas Wilson Lazenby; and brother, Tony Lazenby.
She is survived by her daughters, Kelly Jeffares (Rodney), Kimberly Holcombe, Tiffany Anderson (Michael), Sommer Blackwell; sons, Scott Pfeiffer, Chris Pfeiffer, David Pfeiffer; grandchildren, David, Cheyanne (Drew), Ryan, Bill, Chase, Tom, Pacy, Fred “Storm”, Conner, Makalia, McKenzie; great-grandchildren, Mason, Memphis, Danny, Connor; sisters-in-law, Susan Huff (Harold), Emma Price, Leisa Howell (Keith); and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Private Service for Mrs. Pfeiffer will be held at a later date.
Governor Brian Kemp’s latest executive order has eliminated restrictions on large gatherings; however, CDC guidelines recommend social distancing (6 feet apart) and wearing of masks while in public.
