Bill Dickson of Covington, passed away July 5, 2017, at the age of 70. Bestowed with the voice of an angel, Mr. Dickson ministered to others through music. He sang bass as a member of a gospel trio, aptly named, "The Gospel Rangers". Social in nature and known to have a heart of gold, Mr. Dickson also possessed a comedic wit that was oftentimes sarcastic, yet endearing. He was a loving family man with a strong work ethic - always providing for his loved ones. Mr. Dickson was preceded in death by his son, David Walden; parents, James and Gladys (Boyd) Dickson; one sister; and four brothers.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Madalyn Dickson; daughters, Shanda O'Bannon, Jeanne Walden, Lori Gaylor, Amanda Dickson; son, Jerry A. Walden, Jr.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Donna Cook; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service for Mr. Dickson will be held Friday, July 7, 2017, 5:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Covington, with Rev. Virgil Cantrell and Rev. Edgar Lloyd officiating. Friends may visit with his family at the funeral home, two hours prior to service, from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
