Access RoadBilly Pooser of Covington, passed away November 29, 2010, at the age of 47. Billy loved the Lord, and was a faithful and longtime member of Greater Love Baptist Church where he served as head usher. He worked for Kroger as a courtesy clerk for 11 years, and enjoyed his work dearly. His work put him in touch with people, whom he loved being around. Billy was friendly to all, and never met a stranger. He loved life and he loved his family, and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his mother and step-father, Carol and Bobby Farmer of Covington; father, William (Bill) Pooser, Jr., of Holly Hill, SC; sisters, Ann Pooser Ammons, Joy and Steve Bishop, all of Covington; niece and nephew, Jessica A. and Matt Mahaffey, Stephen Bishop; great niece and nephew, Madyson and Jackson Mahaffey; step-sister, Terri Smith of Conyers; step-brother, Danny Farmer of Covington; and many, many friends. Funeral Services for Billy will be held Friday, December 3, 2010, 1:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, with Pastor Matt Murphy and Pastor Mark Miller officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Thursday, December 2, from 6-8 PM.
