Billy Wood

Billy Wood, of Monticello, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at the age of 56. Mr. Wood was a resident of Monticello for over 10 years. A hard-working self-employed electrician, he always made sure his family was provided for. Mr. Wood was pure hearted and good friend all around. He was funny, very sarcastic, and had a dry wit sense of humor. In his spare time, Mr. Wood enjoyed hunting and fishing. Wonderful to all his family, he will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Wood was preceded in death by his mother, Jelean (Stevens) Wood

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 28 years, Daneen Wood; daughters and sons-in-law, Tara and William Colvin, Tiffany Wood and Richard Ramirez, Kimberly Wood; sons, Andrew Wood, Devin Wood; 15 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; father, Carl Wood; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Danny parks; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as former wife, Kathy Wood.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Wood will be held Sunday, February 7, 2021, 3:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Gary Thompson officiating and interment following in Covington City Cemetery, in Covington. Friends are invited to visit with his family, at the funeral home, Saturday, February 6, from 7:00 – 9:00 P.M.

CDC guidelines recommend social distancing (6 feet apart) and wearing of masks while in public.  Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home requests that you observe these recommendations while in our funeral home attending visitations and/or services.  In addition, gatherings are limited to 50 persons or less in our facility at one time.  Please honor these restrictions for the safety of the family, yourself, and our staff.
