Bob Cantrell of Covington, passed away December 30, 2011, at Emory University Hospital. He was 52 years old at the time of his death. Mr. Cantrell loved spending time with his family, playing golf, and was a softball coach for 15 years. He loved to travel, but his favorite place to be was Daytona Beach. Mr. Cantrell enjoyed going to the movies, his job, and was the comedian of the family. He never met a stranger.
Survivors include his wife, Ragen Cantrell of Covington; daughters and son-in-law, Tamara and Dusty Utes-Fouser of Grayson, Tori Cantrell of Athens; grandchildren, Bryson and Aubrey Utes-Fouser; parents, Robert and Shirley Cantrell of Covington; sisters and brother-in-law, Joan Allen and fiancé, Frank Pfirman, Barbara and Frank Rogers, all of Covington; brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Stacy Cantrell of Social Circle; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Cantrell will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 3, 2012, at Caldwell and Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road in Covington, with Pastor Mike Wadley officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday, January 2, from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M.
