Bobbie Bailey of Monticello, passed away September 10, 2016, at the age of 81. Mrs. Bailey was a member of New Rocky Creek Baptist Church. Combining her love of gospel music and friends, she was an active member of the church choir. Outings with her husband and church family would oftentimes be spent camping. Mrs. Bailey, with an infectious smile and love of friends, could be found playing canasta, fishing, and devoting time to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In addition to vegetable gardening, she had a passion for cooking, with dressing being one of her most remarkable dishes. Mrs. Bailey was also known to have a gift for making amazing desserts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill M. Bailey; and parents, Willard and Bertie (Williams) Williamson.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Doug Bailey of Monticello, Darrell and Janie Bailey of Canton; grandchildren, Shaun and Grace Bailey, Andrea and Shawn Ondeck, Jessica Bailey, Patrick Burnette; great-grandchildren, Nathan Bailey, Joshua Bailey, Gavin Ondeck, Gwyneth Ondeck, Hunter Burnette; sister and brother-in-law, Nadine and Dwight Martin of Walnut Grove; along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Bobbie Bailey will be held Wednesday, September 14, 2016, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Dr. Randy Reese officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Wednesday, two hours prior to her service, from 12:00 - 1:30 PM.
