Bobbie Jean Smith of Conyers, passed away Monday, May 25, 2020, at the age of 83. Mrs. Smith was of the Baptist faith and was a lifelong resident of both Newton and Rockdale counties. She enjoyed being outdoors whether it was fishing or camping, but most of all, she loved her family and cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and being a caregiver to them. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Lucille Sears; brother, Joe Preston Sears.

She will be lovingly remembered by her loving husband of 67 years, Charles W. Smith; sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky and Marsha Smith, Dennis and Pam Smith; grandchildren, Kevin Smith, Keeli Whisnante, Kyle Smith, Kayla Stanley, Ryan Smith, Roman Smith; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Kaitlyn, Lilah, Ella, Sarah, Kathryn, Kendall, Keegan, Dallas, Loralei; sister and brother-in-law, Ethelene and Tommy Rutledge; brother and sister-in-law, Jack H. and Karen Sears; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A private Graveside Service for Mrs. Smith will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2020, 2:00 P.M., at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens, 699 American Legion Road NE, in Conyers, with Pastor Jim Ross and Pastor Patrick Koroma officiating. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Foundation, 1577 Northeast Expressway, Atlanta, GA 30345.

Due to the current COVID-19, and coronavirus pandemic recommendations, the family regrets that the services must be private.
