Bobbie Word, 96, of Conyers, passed away March 12, 2011, at Christian Ministries in Riverdale, GA. Born to the late Joel Anderson and Rebecca Shaddix Wall, Mrs. Word was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church in Conyers. Mrs. Word is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Charles Word.
Mrs. Word is survived by her daughter, Peggy Burns of Jonesboro; 6 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services for Mrs. Word will be held at 3:00 P.M., Monday, March 14, at Covington City Cemetery with Rev. Mackie Hawkins officiating. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd Street in Covington, Monday, March 14, from 1:30 - 2:30 PM.
