Bobby Gerald Street

Bobby Gerald Street, of Covington, passed away December 21, 2013, at the age of 79. Dedicated to young people and an avid sports fan, he coached Little League for many years. He loved the Lord and his Newton Baptist Church family. Mr. Street was loved by many and will be missed by all. He was preceded by his parents, Grover and Clara Street.

Survivors include his wife and the love of his life, Lavonne Street; children and their spouses, Charles "Junior" and Melinda Galloway, Marsha and Tom Malench, Steve and Rita Galloway, Richard and Dianna Galloway, Jim and Valerie Galloway, Kim and Steve Coady, Karen and Danny Presley, Keith and Lynn Street; 18 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronald and Judy Smith, Donald and Teresa Smith, Larry and Jackie Smith; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Street will be held Monday, December 23, 2013, 2:00 PM, at Newton Baptist Church, 720 Jack Neely Road, in Covington, with Rev. Tony Howeth officiating. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, Sunday, December 22, 2013, from 5:00 - 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Newton Baptist Church, 720 Jack Neely Road, Covington, GA 30016 or Newton County Relay for Life, c/o American Cancer Society, Attn.
