Brenda Turner

Brenda Turner, of Covington, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2023, at the age of 80. Mrs. Turner enjoyed cooking, gardening, and traveling. She liked watching TV, especially Westerns and playing on the internet and Facebook. Above all, family was the most important part of her life, and spending time with them is what she treasured most. She loved her son, “Donald Duck” and daughter, Rhonda, unconditionally and held a special place in her heart for her furbabies.  Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Eugene (Gene) Turner; daughter, Rhonda Davis; sisters, Judy Smith (Neal), Doris Ashworth (Ralph).

Survivors include her son, Donald “Donnie” Jones (Debbie); 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jimmy Smith (Stella), Tommy Smith (Felicia); several nieces and nephews; as well as her furbaby, Katie.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Turner will be held Wednesday, August 30, 2023, 11:00 A.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Justin Adams officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, Tuesday, August 29, from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M.
