Brian Christopher Johnson

Brian Christopher Johnson, of Covington, passed away Friday, June 9, 2023, at the age of 37. Brian was a very animated storyteller and could easily entertain a room with his jokes that kept everybody laughing. He was a loyal fan of the University of Tennessee Volunteers and excitedly watched them play football each fall. Brian took joy in hunting, playing video games, and watching movies, especially action, horror, and crime documentaries. Additionally, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and loved going out to eat at restaurants. Brian took great pride in coaching his daughters’ softball teams and cherished every moment spent with his girls. He was preceded in death by his father, Terry Johnson.

He is survived by his mother, Kathy Johnson; children, Adelaide, Felicity; fiancé, Holly Franklin; brother, Brandon Johnson (Dana); niece, Christina; nephew, Christopher; grandfather, Luther Johnson; aunt and uncle, Brenda and Dan Scarborough; and other loving family members.

A Funeral Service for Brian will be held Saturday, June 17, 2023, 2:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Jeff Clegg officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home two hours prior to his service from 12:00 Noon – 2:00 P.M. The family asks for everyone to please wear Tennessee orange in honor of Brian for his funeral service.
