Bruce Daniel Nelson

Bruce Daniel Nelson of Mansfield, passed away Friday, November 6, 2020, at the age of 55. Mr. Nelson was an employee with CW Matthews for 30 years. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching NASCAR and the Georgia Bulldogs. In addition, he liked hunting, fishing and loved his animals, especially his dogs. Mr. Nelson will be remembered as a kind, loving and happy man. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Carolyn Nelson.

Survivors include his wife, Tracy Nelson; daughter, Hannah Nelson; brother and sister-in-law, Brad and Lisa Nelson; as well as nieces and nephews, Dana and Jeff Knight, Joshua Nelson and Leigh Hicks; great-niece, Blaney Knight.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Nelson will be held Saturday, November 14, 2020, 2:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Ben Waller officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family, at the funeral home, two hours prior to his service from 12 Noon – 2:00 P.M.

CDC guidelines recommend social distancing (6 feet apart) and wearing of masks while in public.  Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home requests that you observe these recommendations while in our funeral home attending visitations and/or services.  In addition, gatherings are limited to 50 persons or less in our facility at one time.  Please honor these restrictions for the safety of the family, yourself, and our staff.
