Carolyn J. Cook of Covington, passed away May 26, 2010, at the age of 77. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of her flowers in her garden, especially her rose garden. Ms. Cook loved her grandchildren dearly, and enjoyed spending all her free time with them. She had many friends that she worked with many years at Stalvey's Restaurant and enjoyed serving her customers who became good friends as well. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Lillion (Powell) Browder. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Dee and Gene Pollock of Fayetteville, NC; son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Kathy Cook of Monticello; sisters and brother-in-law, Alice and Eugene Rame of Connecticut, Dotty Holt of Alabama; brother, Carl Browder of Conyers; Granddaughters and Grandson-in-Law, Tabitha Ann and Kevin Turner, Sharon Pollock Lee; great-grandchildren, Sarah Beth Turner, Austin Tyler Turner, Michael Cook, Jason Lee; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Ms. Cook will be held Saturday, May 29, 2010, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor David Browder officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, May 28, from 5 to 7 PM.
