Carolyn Nelson

Access Road Carolyn Nelson of Oxford, passed away May 2, 2013, at the age of 74. Mrs. Nelson enjoyed fishing, playing bingo, visiting her friends, spending time outdoors, and admiring her hummingbirds. She adored her family, and loved spending time with them. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Nelson; parents, John Daniel and Willie Mae (Spires) Yancey; and her brother, Max Yancey.   Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Brad and Lisa Nelson of Covington, Bruce and Tracy Nelson of Mansfield; grandchildren, Jeff and Dana Knight of Oxford, Joshua Nelson of Covington, Hannah Nelson of Mansfield; niece, Marilyn and Ben Waller of Rhine, GA; and two great-nieces.    Funeral Services for Mrs. Nelson will be held Saturday, May 4, 2013, 4:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Todd Heil and Rev. Ben Waller officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, two hours prior to her service, from 2:00-4:00 PM.
