C.D. Milner

Access RoadC.D. Milner of Jackson, passed away October 19, 2011, at the age of 89. C.D. was a veteran of the United States Navy, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge #84, in Lithonia. He enjoyed flying, and would make frequent trips to Florida to fish. C.D. was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, brother and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Virginia Eloise (Smith) Milner; and his parents, Charles Druey and Willie Mae (Lee) Milner.Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Melvin E. and Vicky Milner of Jackson, David and Patricia Milner of Rutledge; 4 grandchildren, Angela Bryan, Troy Milner, Scott Milner, Randy Milner; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Elizabeth Johnson, Ada Morgan, both of Covington, Aileen and Glen Lee of OK; brother and sister-in-law, Vester and Hazel Milner of Columbus, GA; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.Funeral Services for Mr. Milner will be held Saturday, October 22, 2011, 11:00 AM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with interment following in Green Meadow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home Friday, October 21, from 6-9 PM.
