Charlene Merritt

Access RoadMs. Charlene Merritt of Conyers, passed away unexpectedly February 9, 2013, at the age of 63. Ms. Merritt, along with her parents, operated The Forks BBQ Restaurant for over 20 years. Once the restaurant closed, she was employed by the Suburban Lodge, in Conyers. Ms. Merritt enjoyed spending time with her nieces, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was loved, and will be missed by her family and friends. Ms. Merritt was preceded in death by her father, Charles G. Merritt; and her brother, Phil Merritt. Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Betty B. Merritt; nieces and their husbands, Angela and Jeff Whitmire, Lisa and Steve White, all of Conyers; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; her two special dogs, Booboo and Bonnie. Funeral Services for Ms. Merritt will be held Wednesday, February 13, 2013, 3:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Howard Greer officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, just prior to her service, from 1:00-2:30 PM.
