Charles William "Chuck" Brasher, aged 77, a cherished father, husband, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 18,2024, in Covington, Georgia. Born to Jane and Clinton Brasher on October 9, 1947, in Birmingham, Alabama, Chuck lived a life marked by his devotion to family, service, and community. Chuck grew up in a loving household alongside his sister, Karen Bortnik, who preceded him in death. He shared a beautiful and supportive life with his wife Sherry Brasher. Their legacy continued through their children Leah and her husband James Anderson, CJ and his wife Jenny Brasher, and his sons Dave, Shane, Chris and his wife Bonnie Massey, and Daniel and his wife Sinea Massey. Chuck was a doting and proud grandfather to 18 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren who filled his life with joy and laughter. His sister and brother-in-law, Anna and John Dennis, along with several nieces and nephews, also survive him. Chuck's love for the outdoors was unparalleled, often found hunting and fishing, relishing the beauty around him. His unwavering support for the Alabama Crimson Tide was known to all, and his time as a Master Sergeant in the military further exemplified his admirable character. Chuck was highly respected and beloved in his role as the transportation director for Newton County, where he left an indelible mark through his selfless service. Those who had the privilege to know Chuck remember him as the life of the party—a man whose wit and passion for life were infectious.
