Charles Brown

Charles "Charlie" Brown of Covington, passed away January 24, 2015, at the age of 81. Charles was devoted to his family and loved spending time with them. He committed himself to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. Charlie never met a stranger and loved lending a helping hand. He loved the color red and enjoyed wearing it every day. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Lee and Mattie Bolton Brown; brother, Kenneth Brown; nephew, Kenny Brown.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Nancy Brown of Covington; daughters and son-in-law, Lynne and Ted Higginbotham of Gadsden, AL, Vicki and John Johnston of Covington; sons and daughter-in-law, Troy and Sandra Brown of Clover, SC, Jeff and Darlene Brown of Cullman, AL, Doug Maddox of Philadelphia, PA; 18 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 2 great nephews

Memorial Praise Services for Mr. Brown will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2015, 2:00 PM, at Belmont Baptist Church, 3275 Iris Drive Conyers, Ga, with Pastor Nolan Jackson officiating. The family will receive friends at Belmont Baptist Church from 1:00 until 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Masters Mission, P.O. Box 547, Robbinsville, NC, 28771-0547.
