Charles Conner

Charles Conner of Covington, passed away March 4, 2015, at the age of 77. He loved his family and cherished spending time with them. Never meeting a stranger, he was a pleasure to be around and was always willing to help those in need. He will be remembered for his infectious laugh and smile. Mr. Conner, a member of East Newton Baptist Church, enjoyed and lived for his work at the church as well as, wood working, hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse James and Ruby Conner; grandson, LCpl Corey A. Little; nine brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Sylvia A. Conner of Covington; daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Tim Little of Fayetteville; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Lisa Conner of Covington; grandchildren, Jaimie Little, Nickolas Little, Chris and Lindsey Conner, Wesley Conner, Brandi Hodges, Carman Tippens, Nicole Little; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Alberta Armour; brother, Bobby Gene Conner; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Conner will be held Saturday, March 7, 2015, 3:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Tom Lee and Rev. Gary Morris officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday, March 6, 2015, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, you may make donations to East Newton Baptist Church, 11290 Hwy 278 E Covington, Ga 30014.
