Charles W. Phillips

Charles W. Phillips, age 86, of Canton, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2019. Mr. Phillips was a longtime member of New Rocky Creek Baptist Church in Mansfield. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bette (Thurmond) Phillips; son, Charles Randy Phillips; parents, Dewey and Catherine Phillips; sisters, Louise Nears, Geneva Phillips, Catherine Atkins, Rosie Sistare; and brother, J.D. Phillips.

Mr. Phillips is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Donna Jo and Ronald Gresham; 7 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Willye Mae Caldwell; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Phillips will be held Monday, June 3, 2019, 2:00 P.M., at New Rocky Creek Baptist Church, 190 Rocky Creek Road, in Mansfield, with Dr. Randy Reese officiating and interment following in the church cemetery. Friends may visit with his family at the church, one hour prior to service, from 1:00 - 2:00 P.M.
