Charlotte Burris

Charlotte Burris of Covington, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, February 23rd, 2022, at the age of 81.

We were so blessed to have Charlotte Burris as a Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, She was the glue that held our family together and we will miss her dearly.

She was more than just a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she was a beautiful, giving, loving, caring, and compassionate Christian woman. When we were sad, depressed, or upset she would always know the right things to do and/or say to make our day better, and give us the encouragement to keep pushing forward and to always talk to the lord.

Charlotte loved The Lord, she documented daily in journals every time The Lord would place something in her heart. The morning of her passing the last thing she wrote down was as follows, " February 23, 2022, Wed. Be steadfast to the end a lord you called me blessed, Weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning. Song, I am loved, I am loved, I am loved of the Father. I charter a new course."

We love you, we will miss you, and you will Always will be in our hearts.

We know one day we will be reunited in heaven together.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Thomas; parents, Tom and Lula Weeks

Survivors include her daughter, Charlotte Thomas; sons, Donald Thomas, Scotty Thomas; grandchildren, Amber Mahaffey, Landon Thomas, Chase Thomas (Kassie), Wesley Thomas (Hayley); great-grandchildren, Alaina Mahaffey, Cailyn Mahaffey, Chandler Mahaffey, Memphis Thomas, Whitley Thomas, Presley Thomas, Mavrick Thomas.

A Graveside Service for Mrs. Burris will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2022, 2:00 P.M., at Lawnwood Memorial Park, 1111 Access Road, in Covington. Friends are invited to visit with the family at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, Wednesday, March 2, from 12:00 Noon – 2:00 P.M.
