Clara M. Roberts

Clara M. Roberts of Oxford, passed away April 20, 2018, at the age of 82. Ms. Roberts was a life-long resident of Newton County. She was a devout Christian and supportive member of Summit Baptist Church, in Loganville. In addition to attending services, Ms. Roberts delighted in spending time with fellow members of her Sunday School class. Her loved ones will remember her as a caring person who valued family and always put their needs first. Ms. Roberts was preceded in death by her daughter, Twila Coleman; son, Tim Roberts; parents, Clarence and Allie Durden; sisters, Frances Sockwell, Ann Durden Reid, Pauline Dial; and brothers, Bill Durden, Leroy Durden.

Survivors include her daughter, Kimberly Roberts; son and daughter-in-law, Brice and Melissa Roberts; special friends, Ava Brantley, Robin McCoy; grandchildren, Dalton Roberts, Levi Roberts, Jacob Roberts; sister-in-law, Bennie Durden; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Ms. Roberts will be held Monday, April 23, 2018, 2:00 PM, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Butch Butcher officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park, Covington. Friends may visit with her family at the funeral home, Sunday, April 22nd, from 5:00 - 8:00 PM.
