Clarence Edward Capell

Mr. Clarence Edward Capell of Covington died April 21, 2012 at the age of 91. He was born in Cordele, GA to the late Chester Brittton and Ethel Holcomb Capell and was a Veteran of the U. S. Army, serving in the European Theatre during WWII. He received the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal with 1 Silver Star Good Conduct Medal. He was very friendly and outgoing, enjoyed fishing, photography, and traveling. Mr. Capell is preceded in death by his son, Christopher Mark Capell, and his sisters, Lillian Willis, Ruth Barrett, and Lucy Savage.
Mr. Capell is survived by his loving wife, Christine Capell of Covington; sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Shirley Capell, David and Gloria Jean Capell all of Covington, Joe and Sheila Capell of Monroe; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Gates of Macon; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Capell will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2012, 2:00 P.M. at the a Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Covington, with Pastor Darrell Allen officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, prior to the funeral service from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M.
