Social Circle

Clarence "Butch" Daniel, known affectionately by most as Butch, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2025, at his home in Social Circle, Georgia at the age of 76. Born on August 2, 1948, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Marthann and Clarence "DC" Daniel. Predeceased by his beloved parents, as well as his sisters Sherry McCullough and Mary Davis, Butch's legacy of love lives on through his cherished family. His devoted wife of 56 years, Jackie Daniel, was the cornerstone of his happiness. Together, they raised their children Teresa Daniel, Tammy and son-in-law Shane Blankenship, and son Chris Daniel, fostering a home filled with laughter and adventure. Butch's jovial spirit extended to his adored grandchildren—Ashley Campbell, Tiffany Murphy, Savannah Blankenship, Logan Daniel, and Ava Daniel—and further brightened the lives of his great-grandchildren Landyn Hunt, Dallas Murphy, Everleigh Murphy, Reba Campbell, and Jasper Gallahan Riley Campbell. Butch is also survived by his brother Tony Daniel, sister-in-law Dianne Daniel, niece Lisa Chasteen, and great-niece and great-nephew Brittany Daniel and Hunter Henderson. They, along with the many friends Butch made easily with his approachable and outgoing nature, will miss the light-hearted joy he brought into their lives. His fun-loving and friendly Spirit, Butch delighted in NASCAR and had a magical touch for anything with a motor. His dexterity in mechanical fixings was matched only by his knack for quick-witted jokes and memorable sayings. His passion for travel took his family on many adventures, from the joy of escapades with the children to the tranquility of retreats to the mountains in later years. Butch will be lovingly remembered for his unwavering dedication to family, his approachable personality that never knew a stranger, and his contagious humor that made every encounter with him an occasion of fellowship and laughter. He truly embodied a spirit of kindness and delight, marking the world indelibly with his presence. A life so joyously lived leaves behind a canvas of memories that his family and friends will continue to cherish dearly.

The family will have a service at a later date as the family gets together.
