Clarence Shope

Clarence Shope of Covington passed away December 20, 2011, at Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center in Augusta. Mr. Shope was 63 years of age at the time of his death. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Shope, and his father, Vance Shope. Mr. Shope loved working, hunting, fishing, and his animals. He enjoyed being outside and gardening. He loved his family.
Mr. Shope is survived by his wife, Donna Shope of Covington; daughter and son-in-law, Jaime and Joey Pitts of McDonough; sons and daughter-in-law, Cain and Amy Almand of Social Circle, Dalton Almand of Oxford; grandchildren, Kayla Shope, Zack Shope, Braylee, Wyatt and Luke Almand, Maddox and Lane Pitts; mother, Ruth Yancey of Gainesville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Maria and Roy Garner of Gainesville, Sandra and James Parr of Lawrenceville; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Cindy Hardy of Grayson; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Shope will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, December 26, 2011, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road in Covington, with Raymond and Cindy Hardy officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday, December 26, from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M.
