Connie Jean Evans

Connie Jean Evans of Covington, passed away May 31, 2017, at 63 years of age. Connie attended Covington Mill United Methodist Church and was known to those who loved her as selfless, independent, and funny. She had a gift for being able to provide strength for others in times of need. Watching movies on the Hallmark Channel, shopping, going to the beach, and reading mystery novels were a few of her favorite pastimes. Additionally, Connie loved dogs and cats - especially cats. She adored being with her family and will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. Preceding her in death were her parents, Johnny and Betty (Johnson) Bennett; and son-in-law, Tim Luke.

Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Charlie "Tex" Evans; daughter, Jennifer Luke of Eatonton; grandchildren, Jessica O'Bryon and husband, Jamie Harrison, and Jacob Lucero.

A Memorial Service for Mrs. Evans will be held Saturday, June 3, 2017, 3 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Phil Payton officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Connie's memory to Covington Mill United Methodist Church, 6154 Collins Street, Covington.
