Cora Lee Edge

Access RoadCora Lee Edge of Covington, passed away January 20, 2012, at the age of 79. Mrs. Edge worked as the business manager, at Newton Medical Center, for more than 25 years. She enjoyed working out, taking care of herself, dancing, and singing in the choir. She loved the Lord, and loved spending time with her family, her church family, and her pets. Mrs. Edge was preceded in death by her husband, Jodie Clark Edge; son, Monty Edge; her parents, Henry and Mattie Lizzie (Hyatt) Rogers; brother, Bobby Gene Rogers; and her special companion, of 27 years that treated her like a princess, Bobby Joe Henderson.Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Wade Crecelius of Wyoming, MN; granddaughter, Mandi and Brian Peters of Athens; grandsons, Matt Edge of Covington, Mark and Ciara Edge of Locust Grove; granddaughter-in-law, Shannon Edge; great-grandchildren, Violet, Gavin, Taylor, Sarah Ann, Brittany; nieces, Susan Wilson and family, Pam Hunt, Kelsey and Blake Treadwell; nephew, Mike Rogers and family.Funeral Services for Mrs. Edge will be held Sunday, January 22, 2012, 4:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Dickie Johnson and Pastor Steve Hall officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, January 21, from 6:00-8:00 PM; and Sunday, January 22, two hours prior to the service, from 2:00-4:00 PM.
