Creighton Devaney Shaw

Creighton Devaney Shaw, of Covington, passed away Monday, March 3, 2025, at the age of 52. As a four-year Navy veteran, Creighton proudly served his country and remained deeply committed to his family, especially his beloved mother. He was an avid sports fan and passionate collector. Creighton was also a devoted follower of the Oklahoma Sooners, Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta Braves, and NHL, he found joy in traveling to different baseball parks, immersing himself in the energy of the game. Outside of sports, Creighton had a love for media, movies, TV shows, and game shows, amassing an impressive collection over the years. His love for trivia was unmatched, and he was a constant presence in board game nights, where his competitive spirit shone through. A true James Bond aficionado, Creighton enjoyed immersing himself in the world of 007. Creighton’s warmth, loyalty, and devotion to his family will always be remembered. His infectious enthusiasm for sports, entertainment, and life will be missed by all who knew him. Creighton was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Shaw, Jr.; and brother, Clinton Shaw.

Survivors include his mother, Wahela Jean Shaw; sister, Dixie Shaw Pugh (Brian); nephews, Colby Van Pelt, Maverick Van Pelt, Dalton Shaw, and Skylar Shaw.
