Daniel Hedgebeth Hoover of Conyers, passed away suddenly, August 21, 2017, at 47 years of age. Although born in Elizabeth City, NC, Daniel was raised in Virginia and Maryland. Daniel graduated from Friendly Sr. High school in 1987. Daniel's artistic abilities were evident very early in life and in 1991, he earned a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Corcoran School of Art, in Washington, DC. Daniel continued his education and in 1996 he obtained a Master's degree in Fine Arts, from Tyler School of Art, in Philadelphia. Employed by the Atlanta History Center and the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, Daniel also spent time working at the Hammonds House Museum, located in the historic West End of Atlanta. Having a deep passion for sharing his talent with others, Daniel also developed a youth photography education program for Hillside Hospital. A prolific artist, Daniel's work has been installed at Hartsfield Atlanta airport and ESPN Zone Atlanta. In addition to working as Warehouse Manager for Infinite Wireless Services, Daniel was preparing to launch a project about students and race for The National Education Association (NEA). He was preceded in death by his father, Australia Arthur Hoover, Jr.; and niece, Olivia Hoover.
Survivors include his son, Mason William Koi Hoover of Decatur; mother, Aileen H. Hoover; sister, Kenya Hoover, both of Loganville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Australia A. Hoover, III, and his wife, Germaine, Michael Hoover, and his wife, Breeanne, all of Conyers; nieces and nephews, Tanzania Hoover, Iyona Hoover, Reyna Hoover, Jamya Hoover, India Hoover, Jaimie Hoover, Jacob Hoover, Juliana Hoover; as well as a host of aunts and uncles.
A Funeral Service for Mr. Hoover will be held Saturday, September 2, 2017, 1:00 PM, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Dr. Adam Cooper officiating. Friends may visit with his family, at the funeral home, Friday, September 1, from 5:00 - 8:00 PM.
