David F. Major

David F. Major of Conyers died July 1, 2012 at the age of 79. He was born in Henry County to the late Edgar and Mary Lizzie (Phillips) Major and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was retired from Delta Airlines and enjoyed traveling, gardening, wood working and spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Hulon Major, Howard Major; sister, Hazel Ford. David is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Major of Conyers; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Sean Murphy of Bogart, grandson, Connor Murphy; brother, Horace Major of Hoschton. Funeral Services for David will be held, Tuesday, July 3, 2012, 2:00 P.M. at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Covington, with Rev. Lawrence Lockett officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 P.M.
